Terms of Use

1. The service and beta status

Unbothered is an online introduction service. Beta access is provided "as is." Features may change, be interrupted, reset, or be discontinued at any time, and data may be lost despite our efforts. Do not rely on the service for anything important.

2. Eligibility

To use Unbothered you must: (a) be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract; (b) if applying during the beta test, use an invitation issued to you; (c) not have children and not want children in the future, as the service is built for that community, and answer eligibility questions honestly; (d) not have been previously removed from the service; (e) not be required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction, and not have been convicted of a felony involving violence, sexual offences, stalking, or fraud; and (f) comply with all laws that apply to you. We may verify eligibility and remove any account that does not meet these requirements, without notice.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your credentials and everything done through your account. Use a strong, unique password, do not share your account, one person may hold only one account, and tell us promptly at unbothereddating@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Invitations are single-use and may not be sold, transferred, or posted publicly.

4. Conduct rules

You agree not to:

• provide false, misleading, or outdated information, or impersonate any person, including using another person's photos, AI-generated images, or photos altered with filters, retouching, face/body edits, or other changes to your appearance;
• harass, bully, stalk, threaten, intimidate, discriminate against, or shame any person, or post hate speech;
• send or upload nudity, sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or any content involving or appearing to involve a minor;
• solicit money, gifts, financial or banking details, or promote scams, pyramid schemes, escort or other sexual services, or commercial products, advertising, or other services;
• share another person's private information or messages without their consent;
• use the service or any member's profile, image, likeness, or messages to create, publish, or promote content (including social-media, monetized, or promotional content) without that member's express permission;
• use bots, scraping, or automated tools, collect other members' data, or reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the service or its security;
• attempt to evade a block, suspension, or removal, or create new accounts to do so;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate anyone's rights.

5. Your safety and your responsibility

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, online and offline. Unbothered does not currently conduct criminal background checks or identity verification and does not guarantee any member's identity, intentions, honesty, or conduct. If we later introduce background or identity checks for accounts flagged for suspicious or potentially harmful behavior, we will first implement the screening process, provide required notices, obtain any legally required consent, and update these Terms and the Privacy Notice. A check would not guarantee a member's identity, intentions, honesty, or future conduct. Members may misrepresent themselves. Use good judgment:

• never send money, gift cards, or financial information to anyone you meet here;
• keep personal details (home or work address, finances, daily routine) private until you trust the person;
• before a date, tell a trusted adult where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return; arrange your own transportation;
• consider sharing your live location with someone you trust during the date, and check in with them;
• meet in a public place and tell the venue's staff or security if you feel unsafe; ask them to help you leave or call for help;
• if you are in immediate danger, move to a safer place if possible and call local emergency services, or ask venue staff or someone nearby to call them;
• use the block and report tools and stop communicating whenever you feel unsafe.

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. When a member reports an account and provides a reason, the founder will review the information provided and conduct reasonable follow-up research using information available to Unbothered, then consider appropriate safety action. If warranted, Unbothered may use a qualified third-party service provider to assist with a safety investigation, sharing only information reasonably needed for that purpose and as permitted by law. This does not mean Unbothered conducts background checks; it does not currently do so. Reviews are best-effort, may be limited by available information and resources, and cannot guarantee anyone's safety. Reports to Unbothered are not an emergency service.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, text, and messages you submit ("Your Content"). You grant Unbothered a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service and enforce these Terms. You confirm that you own or have the rights to Your Content, that it shows you, and that it does not violate the law or anyone's rights. We do not claim responsibility for content posted by members and are not obliged to monitor it, but we may review, screen, restrict, or remove any content at our discretion, including to enforce these Terms or protect people.

7. Moderation, reports, and enforcement

Messages and profile text may be automatically screened for eligibility and prohibited solicitation. Content that appears to disclose having or wanting children, request money, or promote an OnlyFans page is withheld and flagged for moderator review. Automated screening is imperfect, so a flag is not by itself a ban. Authorized staff may review flagged accounts and take action under these Terms. Profile photos must be genuine, current photos of you and may not be AI-generated or altered with filters, retouching, or edits to your appearance. With your consent, new profile photos are screened by a third-party service for AI generation; detected or uncertain images are rejected, and a photo cannot be saved if screening is unavailable. Automated screening may not detect every generated or altered image. We may remove photos that violate these rules and require a genuine, unaltered replacement. Using the service or a member's profile, image, likeness, or messages to create or distribute content without that member's express permission may result in immediate content removal and permanent account termination. To the extent permitted by law, a person who violates another member's rights or privacy may also be responsible for the actual losses and reasonable costs of enforcement, including legal fees where recoverable. No automatic or fixed fee is imposed by this section. When a member reports an account and explains the reason, the founder will review the report and conduct reasonable follow-up research based on information available to Unbothered. If warranted, Unbothered may use a qualified third-party service provider to assist with a safety investigation, sharing only information reasonably needed for that purpose and as permitted by law; this does not mean Unbothered conducts background checks, which it does not currently do. Reports may also be reviewed by authorized staff, who may read the reported conversation and related profile data. Reviews are best-effort and do not guarantee a particular outcome or anyone's safety. We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, issue warnings, restrict messaging, suspend or remove accounts, remove content, and refuse or revoke access. We may share information with law enforcement or other authorities when we believe in good faith that it is required by law or necessary to protect safety, rights, or property. Decisions about enforcement are final to the extent permitted by law.

8. Intellectual property

The service, its design, software, text, and trademarks are owned by Unbothered or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, email us with the specific content, your contact details, and a good-faith statement of infringement, and we will review it.

9. Third-party services

The service relies on third-party providers for hosting, storage, email, and photo screening. We are not responsible for their acts or failures, and their own terms may apply. The service may link to third-party websites that we do not control.

10. Ending your account

You may delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause. Deletion removes your profile, media, messages, and feedback as described in the Privacy Notice, but we may retain limited records needed for safety, security, legal compliance, and to prevent removed members from returning. Sections that by their nature should survive (including content licence for retained safety records, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity, and disputes) survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE MAKE NO PROMISE THAT YOU WILL FIND A MATCH, A RELATIONSHIP, OR ANY PARTICULAR RESULT, OR THAT MEMBERS' PROFILES OR STATEMENTS ARE TRUE, SAFE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH YOU.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, UNBOTHERED, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH ANY MEMBER, ONLINE OR OFFLINE, INCLUDING ANY PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, OR FINANCIAL HARM CAUSED BY ANOTHER PERSON. BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS FREE DURING THE BETA, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR USD $50. Some places do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Unbothered and its owners, operators, and contractors from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Disputes

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at unbothereddating@gmail.com and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to bring claims only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class or representative action.

15. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will notify you in the service or by email, and continued use after the effective date means you accept it. These Terms and the Privacy Notice are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship.
